Vegas Weekend Guide For Kids: Fun Things To Do in Las Vegas for Kids



The Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., plans a gardening workshop from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 14. The workshop is set to cover how to garden in small places. A TechArt Studio Movie Workshop is planned for 1 to 5 p.m. June 14 and 15 for children 12 to 17 at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Fratello Marionettes plans to perform the Carnival of the Animals puppet show at 10:30 a.m. June 16 at the Summerlin Library, 1771 Inner Circle Drive. Additional shows are planned for 10:30 a.m. June 17 at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave., and June 19 at Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive. 

Three classic tales are planned: “The Three Little Pigs,” “The Tortoise and the Hare” and “The Ugly Duckling.”

Dive ‘n’ Movies are scheduled at 8 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 22 at Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas, 7055 S. Fort Apache Road. Movies will play at the Red Rock Bay wave pool, which will transform into an outdoor cinema. Guests will be able to view family-friendly films while relaxing on inflatable tubes, available to rent, or on lounge chairs, enjoying popcorn and other snacks. Screenings of “Little Giants” at 7 p.m. and “Friday Night Lights” are scheduled June 16 at the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South. “The Magic School Bus Kicks Up A Storm” exhibit is scheduled to visit the Discovery Children’s Museum, 360 Promenade Place, through Sept. 1. In the exhibit, based on the Scholastic Entertainment books and television series, visitors will get to enter Ms. Frizzle’s Classroom, climb aboard the bus and visit the Walkerville Weather Center. Visitors can explore the water cycle and its relation to weather and how influences from air, heat, water and land combine to create weather.
